Discovery flights
No experience needed. Your instructor handles everything. You sit in the cockpit, enjoy the view, and take the controls if you feel like it. Available year-round, weather permitting.

Get your pilot licence
Train for your PPL (Private Pilot Licence) at Les Aiglons. Typical budget: around €9,000 for 50–55 flight hours. Flying once a week, plan for 12 to 18 months. Intensive students can finish in 3 months. At a more relaxed pace, allow longer.

Language note
All flight instruction and ground school are conducted in French. Basic French comprehension is recommended. The PPL theory exam (DGAC) is available in English.

Membership & pricing
Les Aiglons is a non-profit, volunteer-run club. Annual membership gives you access to all aircraft and online booking via Aerogest.

Mandatory fees: FFA €96/year + GALE €8/year. No joining fee.

Before you start
Where to get your Class 2 medical?
A Class 2 medical certificate is mandatory to fly solo or hold a PPL. It must be done by a DGAC-approved aviation medical examiner (AME), not your GP. Budget around €100 for the initial exam.
